To the eye, this dehydrated specimen appears to be a robust, fresh garlic bulb—yet held in the palm of one’s hand, it feels as light as a feather.
It is in virtually perfect condition, except for two slight cracks in the outer delicate skin, suffered due to overzealous handling by a museum visitor in 2000. NEXT >
